FOURTH ANNUAL ECOOP ONLINE POKER TOURNAMENT WON BY CANADIAN STUDENT
A 21-year old Canadian student has recently walked away from the Fourth Annual ECOOP Guaranteed Prize series with $52,500. Playing under the screen name “choppy”, the Titan-Poker regular displayed his skills against more than a thousand other online poker aficionados, beating them all at the $250,000 Guaranteed Prize No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament, and taking the first prize of the fourth annual European Championship of Online Poker.
The event, organised by Titan Poker, gave away a total of $4.55 Million over a fortnight of online poker action and is usually to be found at the centre of many an online poker players calendar. The first series was help in late 2007 with online poker players from all over the world competing over ten days for a share of the $2.5 Million pot. 2008 saw ECOOP II and an increase in winnings to $3.6 Million, with the third series sharing out in excess of $4 Million to online poker players worldwide.
