HOW TO PLAY BACCARAT: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE GAME
Baccarat is a unique and devilishly addictive casino game that ticks all the right boxes as far as we're concerned. It has an easy learning curve, is simple and fun but at the same time has enough depth to it to make it quite complicated as well.
Originating in medieval Italy and finding modern fame in the James Bond movies. The name Baccarat actually comes from the word zero, due to the fact that the face cards and all tens count for zero in this game. Though originally from Italy it also found fame in France and is today an ever popular casino game that is played the world over.
In Baccarat players bet before the deal who will get closer to 9 points after the deal, this includes the sum of a players cards or the bank. The value of two or three cards dealt gives a double digit number so a 6 and 7 will equal 13, a 2 and a 4 and a 3 will equal 9 but any numbers adding up to a ten including the aforementioned cards whose value is ten, are worth zero.
Each hand is for two or three cards but no more than three as this defeat the purpose of having them add up to 9. The first and third cards drawn are to be dealt to a player whereas the second and the forth cards always go to the bank. Aces are worth one point. The cards that are numbered between two and nine are worth those numbers respectively and the 10, Jack, Queen and King are all worth zero. A round of play online is commenced when a player clicks on “players”, “bank” or “draw”. After this the wagers are placed by all. The goal in is to make sure you get as close to 9 points as possible. The hand that is as close to this number as it can be compared to the other player is the winning hand. A draw is achieved when two or more players have the same number that is closer to 9 than the other players.
